Gates Mills

From the Mayor - July & Aug 2021
Friday, May. 7th

Dear Villagers,

I’m pleased to begin by sharing some good news with our community. Welcome back to our July 4th Parade! We are having our traditional parade on Sunday, July 4th at 1:00 PM. I hope to see everyone there. See the Parade page in the Pink Sheet for details.

Our Summer Band concert is also back! We are happy to be able to host it on July 18th. COVID vaccine shots will be available during the event. See the Pink Sheet page for details.

On June 12, Mary Reynolds resigned her council seat after 17 years of dedicated and effective service. We wish her the very best. To finish Mary’s term, she arranged and oversaw an extensive interview process among five very talented choices. Council selected Craig Steinbrink to replace Mary. Thank you to all the candidates.

I’m very pleased to report that our sold out Nature Camp has been running very well and receiving numerous accolades. Our kids are learning a lot and having lots of fun. They are all over the Village…please watch for them as you are driving.

We want to consistently connect with our residents. Our Village provides information covering all community organizations and events by using the Pink Sheet which is sent to all residents with your mail. We also use Gates Mills Connect to issue email notifications. If you haven’t signed up, please call out Town hall coordinators, Jean and Dorothy at (440) 423-4405, 9-5 weekdays. We offer lots of information on our website as well, www.gatesmillsvillage.com. Please take a look. If you have any questions regarding connecting to the Village, please contact us and we will try to help.
